Easier said than done!

Curse you Papa Murphy's pizza! Yesterday, the leftovers from New Years were staring up at me begging me to eat them. It was the chicken herb Mediterranean pizza. I am not a huge pizza fan, but this kind of pizza is GOOD. I didn't want to be rude, and offend the pizza, so I had a slice for lunch. It was so tasty that I had another. Today I decided to look up the nutritional info. UGH! 300 calories a slice and 13 grams of fat! Hopefully I learned my lesson, and I'll check the info next time before I chow down.
On the up side of things, I am down 3.5 pounds from my holiday splurge, so only 4.5 more to go til I'm back to my pre-cruise weight. Right now I'm sitting at 198.4. The kids go back to school on Monday and I'm looking forward to a return of routine. It will be good to be back on a schedule.

  1. I'm absolutely certain their is a psychology to how food looks and how badly we want it. Otherwise, there wouldn't be professional food stylists all around for photography. While it would be "easy" to develop a loathing for the unhealthy foods, we also know that isn't possible either on a consistent basis.

The challenge for me is to find a way to make the healthy foods as, if not more appealing. I have no issues with convincing myself to eat healthier when I'm trying to lose the weight, it is the challenge when I'm trying to maintain the weight loss.

    You are not alone...

  2. Pizza is one of those things I could eat for every meal. Along with chocolate, it's definately my biggest downfall!

  4. I could eat pizza all day every day. Hmmm, that's probably why I need to lose weight. :) I am with you on the routines. My kids go back to school tomorrow and I am really looking forward to getting back to a regular schedule!

  5. Pizza is one of my weaknesses too! But congrats on the weight loss during the holidays... that's really hard to do!

  6. I'm with you... looking forward to the return of business-as-usual. Too much free time on my hands is dangerous for my diet...

  7. While I love pizza, I am not a Papa Murphy fan. Papa John's on the other hand, is a different story.

  8. Did know that the Papa Murphey's Delite Pizza's are half the calories, the same one you ate above, but with a much thinner crust and a little less cheese is supposed to be only 150 calories? Of course, thats only if you cut the pizza into 10 equal slices, which is a challenge!

  10. Thrise Blessed, thanks for the info. I checked the delite pizza when I was looking up the info for the regular pizza. It is lower in calories, but it is still 9 grams of fat, and not nearly as yummy. Yes I've tried both. :O I guess I just need to change my taste buds. Have a great week.
