I survived

I survived paradise, and now I am home. I had a wonderful time with my family and only got slightly sun burnt.

The beaches were wonderful, and it was great to be able to not feel like such a beached whale. The last time I was on the beach, I was 65 pounds heavier! I only made it to the gym once on this trip but spent tons of time with my family.
The food was wonderful as well! I went ahead and enjoyed myself, (after all it really was a special trip.) I have a gain of 8 pounds to show for my indulgences, but I'm hoping to get the first 3 or 4 off quickly and really only have to work hard at the next 4 or 5. I am already back on my healthy eating plan.
Everyone have a wonderful New Years Day!
Oh, I saw someone wearing a tee-shirt. It said, "Don't wish for what you want, WORK for what you want!" I love it!

  1. I envy you. I'd love to take a vacation. I love the t-shirt, too. Working for it is really the only way.

  2. awesome!
I just found my bathing suit yesterday..and you know what? It's a size 16. When I started this journey i was a 24.
I own a bathing suit that FITS.
Great on not feeling like a beached whale.
I hope you had a fantastic time.
    Welcome back to reality lol.
    Have a great year.

  3. 8 lbs...probably half of it water weight. (you were at the beach, after all! lol) How wonderful that you enjoyed time with your family, and enjoyed being at the beach 65 lbs lighter!

  4. First there is 1)figuring out what you actually want 2) trying to decide if it is even good for you 3) wondering how to get it & not hurt anyone else 4) trying different ways to work toward it, with several not working 5) starting over 6) and over 7) losing hope because you are more inclined to be this way forever than not to be 8) again, not being sure what you want is good for you or other people 9) going through those 8 endlessly.

Glad you are better at this than I am; maybe you just work a lot harder.
